Nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, Dowthorpe Hall is a place where creativity, nature, and history come together. Our family has farmed this land for over 150 years, continuing a rural tradition that stretches back to the Domesday Book. Today, these same fields and woodlands inspire a new kind of connection — through art and wellness.

Led by me, a professional artist with over 20 years’ experience, our retreats offer a chance to slow down, reconnect with your creativity, and find peace in the natural beauty that surrounds us. The grounds of Dowthorpe Hall are alive with wildlife — from hares darting across the meadows to our own resident herd of deer roaming the parkland. Whether you’re painting in the studio or walking through the fields, this is a place to breathe, create, and renew.
